In Collaboration with Pablo Martos Lozano

"A celebration of tradition, artistry and the romance of childhood. Like a masterful performance, each piece balances technical precision with poetic expression."

Pablo Martos is a Spanish violinist, composer, and conductor from Granada, recognised as one of the most renowned musicians of his generation, combining outstanding technical mastery with a deeply creative artistic vision.

Celia: Your career has taken you to concert halls around the world. Can you take us back to the very beginning -when did you first feel that the violin would become your life?

Pablo: I grew up surrounded by music because my father ran a music school, so sound and learning were part of everyday life. The violin found its way into my hands naturally, but the real turning point came when I understood that music was not just something I enjoyed, it was the only way I could truly express emotion and meaning. At some point, you don’t choose music, you realise you can’t do anything else. You do it because you have to and that feeling has never left me. For me, music is also a ritual: a way of bringing members of a community together, creating a shared space and lifting them collectively through art. From then on, it became a vocation - one that demands discipline, humility and devotion every single day.

Celia: How did the collaboration between La Coqueta and Pablo Martos Lozano come about?

Pablo: Working with my sister-in-law, Celia Muñoz, felt completely natural. She is, like me, a deeply creative person who believes in supporting true craftsmanship through hours of dedication and care to create each garment. In many ways, her process mirrors my own - the long hours of practice with the violin, the patience and the devotion required to bring beauty to life.

We both understand that for an artistic result to feel truly natural and spontaneous, it requires countless hours of work behind the scenes. That shared philosophy made the collaboration feel honest, effortless and meaningful from the very beginning.

This collaboration is rooted in a shared devotion to tradition, discipline and timeless beauty - where music and fashion come together in a dialogue between heritage and new life.

Celia: Your interpretations often feel deeply alive and intimate. When you approach a new piece, what is the emotional journey you hope the audience will experience?

Pablo: For me, interpretation is always an emotional and intellectual conversation. Technique is ,of course, fundamental but it is only the gateway. What truly matters is honesty - allowing the music to breathe, to feel fragile, luminous, sometimes even silent. If the audience forgets the performer and only feels the emotion, then something magical has happened.

Celia: You are passionate about bringing forgotten or rarely heard music back to life. What draws you to these hidden works and what responsibility do you feel when giving them a new voice?

Pablo: I feel a deep connection to music that is rich in history, especially works that are not heard as often as they deserve. Bringing these pieces back to the stage feels like breathing life into them once more, here and now.

Our identity is forged through culture - through everything we inherit from the past, whether we embrace it, transform it, or even choose to break away from it for aesthetic and creative reasons. Either way, it remains a powerful force: by accumulation, or by contrast.

For the collaboration with La Coqueta, performing Sarasate is particularly meaningful. His music holds both virtuosity and elegance, qualities that resonate beautifully with the craftsmanship and timeless spirit of the collection. In that moment, music and fashion become a dialogue between heritage and new life.

Celia: As a father, how do you share your love of music with your children?

Pablo: Becoming a father changed my relationship with music in the most tender way. My two children both play the piano and what matters most to me is not that they become musicians, but that they experience the joy, discipline and sensitivity that music can offer. Music teaches you to listen and listening is one of the most important qualities in life.

Celia: Classical music is experiencing a revival on social media and digital platforms. How do you see this transformation?

Pablo: It is fascinating to see classical music finding new life through digital spaces. For many years it was perceived as distant or formal, but social media allows intimacy… a rehearsal moment, a fragment of sound, a human gesture.

I have believed for a long time that everyone likes classical music - the only difference is that many people simply don’t know it yet. Very often, what moves you in a film is carried by this language: the harmony, the strings, the tension and release - even if you don’t realise where that emotion is coming from.

If digital platforms can help younger generations embrace classical music as their own, then this shift represents a truly beautiful transformation.

Celia: Where can we see more of your work?
